Problem shifting

My 07 Rubicon doesn't to want to shift. When I start the quad up I get the ESP, D1, D2 indicator come up then it starts blinking (5 times) and then stops. When I go to give it gas it seems like it is stuck in 5th gear and won't move at all. I was able to disconnect the battery and see if I could reset it this way but had no luck.

Any ideas?

The answer to your question is stickied in the Honda section and has been answered many times. Most likely an Angle Sensor; a common problem with all Honda auto and electric shift units.

Scroll down to the Rubicon section as there are specific instructions on resetting the problem code and intial setup after the angle sensor is replaced.

I have the same bike and problem but don't get the blinking error signals. It seems to just be hard shifting - my only complaint about the bike.

Mines an '05 with over 3300kms on it, most in the last 21 months and I will count myself lucky I guess, never had an issue with bike at all, smooth as butter, shifting that is.The ride not so much.LOL
