I was basing that number from what Kelsey said about his RK Tek drop in kit. I'm currently running his head and pistons, which I was told they make 155 hp. Yes i agree a stock pro is around 140.I know 185 HP is a long shot but its worth a try. I saw this video, maybe I just don't know how dyno's work, but how do you fake that?? IT held 182-184 for 30 seconds. I know elevation plays a big part, so if its at sea level to make that power, I know that here in Edmonton it wont. We are just over 2000 feet, I think anyways. Excited either way.

It wont let me add the video.....google bikeman full throttle torture test 2013 polaris 860 big bore.

So how do you fake a dyno number? Well adjusting the sea level correction factor, bending the torque arm and zero the strain gauge. There's lots of ways of making a dyno lie.
If have see big bores in the past that make big power at home on the dyno, but won't make power up in the mountains.

I have played with the water brake crank dyno and was able to get a 440 to make 123hp.....false numbers are easily made

So.... After talking to several people, I decided against the big bore and went with the MTNTK full mod kit instead. I have already sent my cylinders down to them and should have them back this week. I will post some picks of all the shiny parts. I will post some install pics as well and try and get some good video against a stock pro this winter and see if it was worth the money.

@ drangonweld28 keep us updated I'm probably going to be in the same boat next year and would really like something that just works with no F-ing around.

Ya, I will for sure. Ill be riding with Chris and he is building one as well, we should be able to really test these new kits from MTNTK. He had his blue sled with there old mod kit and it ran really strong, so he told me anyways, and this years kit has a bunch of new items. The parts should be here on Thursday!!

^ That's what this thread is about.....

Waiting to see/hear how this full mod kit performs. Seems like a great option for over 1g less then most/all of the big bore kits.
