We have 3 Pro's in our stable and haven't had any engine issues. The only thing I can say is that from brand new we turn up the oil pump. One 2011 with right around 2000km, One 2013 with around 1200km and the other 2013 has arouns 700km.

Those are low km sleds. I had over 2000 km on 2014 xm before Christmas. 3800km by years end. All mountain km too. My 2014 spare xm got 1400 km on it last year when my main sled broke twice. Either way it would be nice for Polaris to make a 800 sled engine as durable as cat or Doo. I think they will have it now with there new 800

you do hear of a few high milers that are still running but being a pure polaris guy for over 20 years then blowing 2 motors in 3 years I finally bailed out. I did turn up the oiler on my 12 pro and added some extra oil to every tank of fuel, warmed up before driving away hot or cold. Did everything right because I was afraid of all the stories......at 1400 miles it grenaded without warning. It ran like a champ right up to the minute it blew up. wasnt a cyl skirt it was a piston skirt.
