Price for Line-X on Fender Flares?

18 Months ago Line-X in Red Deer did a bunch of work on my truck. Good work and no real complaints. Pretty sure they wanted $400 to spray a set of 4 plain jane fender flares at the time.

Just stopped by today, and now it's $600.00. Curious what everyone else in S&M land has paid.

Thought the original price was high, but now having a really hard time justifying $600 to cover up the rust that is starting to appear. I have another rust free & dent free truck box that is ready to be painted when the rust start getting out of hand, so tough to justify the flares when the cost could go a long way towards getting the other box sprayed. Not a big fan of flares with standard size tires either.

Please let me know your thoughts.

was quoted 500$ to spray 4 trailer fenders and 300$ to mix the color match product...Im sure she quoted me for fender flares. I've been told roughly 1$/square inch to estimate.

Raptor Liner and Linex are two totally different products. Even if the Raptor liner is applied well it will look different.

I agree a consumer grade vs pro application is notablely different. Could you explain why?

Raptor Liner and Linex are two totally different products. Even if the Raptor liner is applied well it will look different.

Never used it myself but have looked into it lots. It appears to be more rounded bigger specs of coating, where line x is smaller sharper. Just thought I would throw it out there. If it’s not a new truck and he was trying to hide some rust it might be a cheaper option. I know my old truck I wouldn’t get a professional job done lol.

They are two different products kind of designed to do the same thing. Raptor liner is a cold low pressure spray system. Raptor liner ( or most other self applied bedliner kits ) can work ok on certain application if they are prepped properly, applied evenly, and the sprayed part isn't subject to much abuse. A good example of where it can work well is on the kick panels inside the doors of your truck. Spraying Raptor for a bedliner or to a area that take abuse it simply won't have thickness behind it.

Now on on the other hand any professionally applied high pressure bedliner product wether it be Linex, Armaguard, Indy Liner etc is going to be way stronger, and again when prepped properly ( proper prep is key with any product) it will stick and last much longer. Every high pressure spray company has a slightly different blend of product but they are all a hybrid polyurethane/polyurea product. Not to ramble too much but they all have to be applied through a high pressure plural component spray machine. The product is typically heated to 150 Fahrenheit sprayed at 2200psi and sets up in 3-5 seconds.

You are going to notice a diffence in the texturing and overall mill thickness between the hot and cold sprays. Typically the cold low pressure sprays have a more uneven texture while the hot high pressure sprays are more consistent.

I hope this kinda makes sense ( full disclosure I own a couple Armaguard shops ). The bedliner product is a wonderful product and has so many different applications. Again proper prep and proper thickness is key.

Also going back to the original post, he already has Linex on parts of his truck. If he does Raptor or another low pressure system it won't match up.
