Wicked!
Sometimes if stuff is left to the last minute it's a scramble to get it done before the big trip. If there is a problem that requires parts to be ordered, readying now for hunting is better than noticing it 2 days before you are scheduled to leave. There is quite often a Big rush to purchase storage boxes, Gun Scabbards, rifle holders etc.. By a big rush I mean a mad scramble of purchases.. If peeps live in the city, it may not be a big issue, but if you are one of the only dealers around and they are sold out, it may result in you not having what you want for your hunting excursion.

Food for thought..

Thats true I guess, some people only ride their quads during hunting season so it may have sat all year..... probably outside or tarped....... but for guys who actually ride their bikes the only readying should be bolt on accessories and add different tools to the storage box. For the most part when Im hunting my bike doesn't get ridden to hard, its the bikes time for a break until the following spring

I met the coolest couple yesterday at the store. Their "getting ready for hunting" included a Trailer with a portable kitchen so they can just haul it to different locations so his wife can cook for his guys. We were laughing at their preparations. Apparently she is an AMAZING cook, so the entire enclosed trailer is dedicated to her Kitchen.

Ya some of the best eating I do is at hunting camp in October. We have a 12'x16' wall tent with its own wood stove dedicated to cooking and eating and playing crib, and a seperate 12'x18' wall tent with stove for sleeping. Also we have a huge deep frying pan that we use over the fire to cook fried chicken and french fries one night and a fish fry another night. MMMMMMMM now Im hungry, better go have a snack

OMGOSH yum!! Stuff just tastes better when it's cooked outside. My husband's family bought us a dutch oven, some pretty cool recipies for me with that thing. His mom and sister made us a apple cobbler that was phenomenal, over the open fire using the coals to cook the cobbler. It was awesome.
