They need to drop something totally revolutionary and a lower cost to attract new riders. The path they are on currently, they will all end up like Yamaha and Cat.
Absolutely true. I’ve never put a price on recreation. Or a budget. But $30,000 sleds that don’t Hardly sell for $17grand a year later will end the sport. Pretty much any factory turbo is a guaranteed 40% drop in value in one season.
Snow checks used to give us 4 yr warranty. Now all they give you is a guaranteed massive depreciation

Yeah or tell you here is the price plus PDI and frieght.... then not tell you the frieght or PDI... all tactics to get you in the door and cornered.
The original owner of Bow Cycle in Calgary pulled me to the side at a dealers meeting one year and said I needed to get on board with pricing with him. We were bitter rivals. He said I wasn’t charging for freight and set up in my pricing. I said yes I was. He said I needed to quote sled price over the phone or in the showroom and then when the customer committed to charge freight, set up and a charge for documentation. When I pressed him on that he started laughing and said 50% would just pay it, 25% would complain and pay it and the ones that refused to pay it he would just throw it in. I told him I didn’t want people pizzed at me when they bought a sled so I refused. And to charge $199 for doing a bill of sale? Phack him. I provided that for free except in finance deals as we were charged for finance deals from an out of house company. Needless to say the bitterness continued. People want to be quoted price plus gst or all in in my experience.

Yeah I can't get my head around "document fees"?? Average seems to be 500-700 dollars. They can stick that where the sun don't shine. Have never paid doc fees in my life.

What are the best poo dealerships to deal with? Thinking of crossing to the gay side. Have bought all of my new brp units from Riverside, Wetaskiwin, and Courtney motorsports. Great experiences with all three

Riverside Yamaha Polaris has the best service. I’ve been buying off them for 30+ years. The two main mechanics have been there since I started riding and are still working there. Best Polaris by far.

If I ever was buying one I’d deal with Scott at Mountain Toys in Cochrane. They have an amazing tech there and Scott is super nice.

Ben at SRP been dealing with them this year a lot. Really happy with them. And Mountain Motorsports in Golden. I really like Heartland Marine also where I bought mine.
