Why are people so quick to assume a vote for PPC is dividing the right vote? The Libs are not popular across most of Canada. Obviously they have supporters but I’d wager 60%-70% of the people that voted for the Libs last time won’t be voting for them again. Last election was lost by the PC because of Scheer. He’s not believable. The only reason he has any traction this go around is because lots of people don’t want the Libs back in. He has no strong message. The PC’s biggest statement is ending the carbon tax. But considering the PC’s make no mention of leaving the Paris accord it leaves Canada obligated to comply one way or another.

First, Scheer did not run against Trudeau in the last election Stephan Harper did.

Second, the PPC is a right wing party, much more right wing than the PC's, the Liberals are left-wing (arguably centerist in today's society) with the NDP being further left.

Like this:

NDP-Liberal-PC-PPC

Very rarely do voters jump more than 1 step away from where they traditionally vote, most Liberal voters are going to vote PC if they vote more conservative as it is one jump away, PPC is 2 jumps away. PPC will only take votes away from the PC's.

Third, I'm not sure what strong message everyone thinks the PC's need to present? Balance the budget, stop spending money on useless stuff, stop trying to ram useless gun laws down our throats, allow pipelines to be built in a reasonable timeline, stop introducing taxes on the working class?

I get that you like the PPC, and they have some good ideas in their platform. The fact is they will never form government in this election, so I along with many others on this forum will choose to use our votes for a better purpose, voting PC in a hope to get rid of Trudeau.

You beat me to it...I was just coming here to post the exact same video you posted and say what you said.

I was waffling on the PPC vs CPC vote but this might have clinched it to the PPC.
As a 2018 and 2019 Sustaining donor for the CPC party I was appalled to see this video tonight as well. I am smart enough to see that the PPC have no chance of winning a national election. I doubt Max can even win his riding to be honest. For that reason I will still vote CPC because I absolutely loathe the Turd to the highest degree possible. It didn't however stop me from sending Mr Scheer a nasty email telling him to allow free speech at his rally's or take me off his donor list. I am really growing very weary of politics right now.

By the way I'm not trying to be a d!ck although I'm sure I'm coming off that way. It's just Conservatives in Canada have been failed by vote splitting in the past, think to the Reform and PC's in the 90's. The vote this time will be so close that every vote will count, and Mad Max could ensure Trudeau gets his second term.

Fuk off dick... lol just kidding.

Serious though, I get why people are apprehensive even though they like what the PPC have to say. Playing the safe card is rarely a bad choice. Then again I could ask the question of what’s safer... voting for someone that will get the Libs out and tweak everything back the way conservatives do, or vote for someone that will get the Libs out and completely reform our country into more prosperity then we have... potentially ever have had?

Also I wouldn’t call the PPC “conservative” or “right”. They don’t preach a way of life. They let individuals be who they want to be. All they care about is balancing the budget, creating financial opportunities for everyone, freeing Canada from unreasonable laws(whether self inflicted or global pressure) and making sure Canada remains Canada. Not Islam or Rome or the US.

A big problem with right and left politics is usually imposing their way of life on millions of INDIVIDUALS. The PPC are not endorsing any religion. They are not cutting useful social programs like conservatives usually do(meanwhile still perpetuating corpo welfare). They are not increasing and implementing taxes like lefts do(only to pocket it or give it away to people that DON’T need it). They are as close to what a realistic government should be. At the end of that day the People’s Party of Canada is for the people. No country is prosperous long term if the people aren’t successful.

I personally would never vote for a party with a name like "people's party of anything" sounds like some commie chit to me. might not be the case? but a definite branding issue IMHO

Yes I agree, the name sucks...sounds Commie, but this is the content of the message I just sent to the CPC.

"BIG BIG mistake with the Rebel news David Menzies situation.

At my current age of 58, I have been a lifelong Conservative voter both Provincially and Federally. After viewing the video related to the ejection and detention of David Menzies, well I'm pretty sure that will be changing to the PPC.

I'm not a big fan of the Rebel news as they are bit to sensationalist at times, but they are one of the few news outlets that are willing to expose some of the crazy Politically Correct abuses that are taking place.

I'm extremely disappointed in the CPC abandoning the principals of freedom of the press and free speech. If Mr Scheer is afraid of the Rebel News, he is not suitable for the Prime Ministers office and after reading many of the comments on the ejection/detainment video, I believe there are a large number of people that think the same way.

This is not Venezuela...Mr. Scheer must apologize to David Menzies and the Rebel News."

I don't like the pc''s either to be honest. Harper is a globalist pos and sold out Canada just as bad as turdboy. but was only 1% as annoying about it.

Trudo has got to go.

totally agree! Trudy will destroy Canada!

i think the conservative war machine is weighing their options, and going over every detail. best outcome is one on one interview with Scheer and a Rebel media reporter. Who. i can't say!.

worst outcome is to say nothing and he will suffer for it.

i am still waiting for the leader debates, and likely will be meanie minie moe at the ballot box.

That seems to be the issue with The Rebel. If they stuck to just reporting the truth they would be fine but unfortunately they seem to want the drama and want to blow everything up. From what I understand he was asked to leave by the building staff not by the party and when he caused a scene he was asked by the police and again caused more of a scene.

I used to follow them regularly but they lost me with the big drama.

Agreed. Although I think the PC's should trying to avoid having stuff like that come out as it still looks bad.

Yea Harper was ok but nothing great, and if Sheer wins i'm not holding out hope it would be anything great either. But better then the idiot we have now. The big issues to me are just cutting spending like foreign aid, stupid government handouts, and getting our oil to market. I hate a lot of other chit, but at least if the economy is good and taxes aren't incredibly high it's tolerable. In some cases I also think it's important to switch up governments and have close elections, it keeps all parties more accountable and on their toes that they need to be more careful about what they do to try and stay in power.

yeah turdo is pretty much total crap lol

foreign aid? yeah not sure why we have that at all.
if we were booming it would be one thing, but borrowing money to give away is the stupidist chit I've ever heard.

when you add it all up you and I probably pay 60% at least in taxes already. much more than that I'll say **** it. what's the point in working hard if you don't get to keep the fruits of your own labour?

I'm not sure switching these clowns out every few years is helping at all either. might be better to have Putin at the healm for a few decades then letting a bunch of greenhorn's loose with public policy and all our tax dollars to piss away ever 4 years?
