Power banks for Heated googles??????

Can’t seem to find any info on if you can use a power bank to heat googles without fawkin them up . Anybody try this. ?

I know a guy who adapted his wife's heated goggles to use the heated visor plugs on her sled.

Ya i’m looking at a battery pack, I have one and don’t want to buy CKX one if i don’t have too. But don’t want to bake the googles lol

Just a thought but if you put a battery pack in your pocket will it cause any type of issue with your beacon. maybe take two beacons and the battery pack and test

My buddy does this with his ckx goggles. He uses that fancy e-linq system that connects to the DESS key. It works really well for him.

To answer your question Lyle, any DC battery from 5-12v should work for you if you wire it up with the right connector(in theory, up to 14v should be fine). The ckx goggles output is voltage regulated. So 5v will be "low" power, and 12v is "high" power.

Thank you for the feedback, electric stuff isn’t my thing, My battery pack will last a long time at 12 volts and being on high all the time isn’t a bad thing. Never tried them before so that just saved me a 150 bucks . And i will check that Brian once i get my second beacon back from Cycle works, BCA 3 in for warrenty,
