Anyone used the T stat housing from powder freaks on an xm? Just curious as my motor that grenaded cracked the piston right by the bridge on the exhaust side. Wondering if keeping them a little cooler might prolong that issue.
The other thing I'm worried about is the ting jumping into warm up mode all the time when it sits for ten minutes? Any opinion out there?

There is no thermostat with a trygstad one, it’s just a water manifold.

go with the freak, 10000km and still going strong!

That would be why the warmup mode is coming on - the powderfreaks helps alot - I've passed people overheating on the trail and I've still been good to go

It made a big difference on my 163, kept it cooler and more consistent temp, much harder to overheat on icy whooped trails, and seemed to pull better since it didn't heat soak and pull timing. Swapped it to my 174 but not worth it IMO with the huge cooler.

The powder freaks t-stat was definitely one of the better upgrades I've done. Haven't overheated on the trail since putting it in. Mine will only go into warm up mode if we stop to build a fire for lunch. Didn't really notice a power difference on the long pulls.

That's what I'm most looking for is the trail in. Those 3 inch tracks are hard to keep cool on big whoops going or single track trees getting into some zones.

Couple words of advice if you do the head - watch out for the coolant manifold beside coil pack and put a aftermarket temp sensor in before u put the head on - eye gouging good time
