So I've brought my whole front end and rear skid in all to be powder coated. It's been just over 3 weeks now and I haven't got anything back yet. Does anyone know how long the turn around usually is at shops?

It all depends on their workload. I dropped my stuff off on a Friday and picked it up the following Wednesday. The process doesn't take a long time.

Depends on color. If its something they do daily. Its usually pretty quick.

Also depends on what it is. If its a sled and there isnt snow and a welding deck comes in and he has to work in 2 days you get bumped. You have to have a good talk with your guy and let him know you have a timeline. Its the same in paint shops. The guy that uses his vehicle daily for busniness is going in first.

Just had my rails and spindles done in Calgary 2 weeks ago. They told me could be 2 weeks, no problem I said. That was on a Friday, that following Wednesday they were ready!

Now, I've had some other parts getting annodized for over 2 weeks now...and I was told 3-4 days...needless to say I am getting a little annoyed. I've called twice a week following up after each time they tell me a day it will be done. If they weren't ready today I was going to pick them up and just have them powdercoated. Apparently they were being finished today and will be ready tomorrow. If not.....

Depending on the quality of work, I may or may not recommend this particular company in Calgary ( I won't say which until I see the finished work)

Prism powdercoating in Prince george had my suspension arms done in tow days. The owner(smoky) is great to deal with I would highly recomend him. Check out his sight at prismpowder.net.

I had stuff done at Metal Strip & Coatings in Red Deer. High quality work, finished when promised, and a little cheaper than quoted. Would definately recommend them - good guys.:d:beer:

Impact Coatings is usually 3 to 4 days for me. Excellent service and turnaround.

The Powder Station will turn around in a week, sooner if needed. Talk to Dean.

I've heard good things about this Powder Station place.:d

I too have heard good things! I met these guys at the show, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Saw some of their work on display, looked really good!
