They're on sale right now, I bought one and some red powder. You need an oven strictly for cooking the paint in, can't cook food in it after. I'll see how it works sometime soon.

Buddy of mine just bought an Eastwood system, as well as the little oven that goes with it. LOVES it, and it works REALLY well.

Best to buy one right now while it's on sale, and if I find it doesn't work for me, you can always return it. Princess auto return policy is always a bonus for shopping there.

I have heard the most good reviews on the Eastwood home kit. Priced well too.

That gun from princess auto is the same as the harbor freight one. I started powder coating with it. It worked alright , but tends to shoot clumps of powder out. If you google the harbor freight one there are a few mods to make it way better of a gun. after this mod it was a great gun. Good to start with to see if you like it. Imo if your serious about wanting to do parts skip this gun and start with something a bit better. Also having a designated spray booth is a must cause the powder gets everywhere. Probably should have a sand blaster to give the parts a profile for the powder to adhere to or you can sand by hand. As for oven a toaster oven works for small parts. Or a designated kitchen oven. I've been doing my own parts since 05 and if your in to modding your own sleds it's worth the investment.

Yeah try it out. Make sure your part is very clean and degreased. I use denatured alcohol or acetone works. If you can see rag fibers I used a propane torch to burn them off. Takes practice to get it figured, but the good thing is you can strip it and do it over. Air craft stripper works to remove powder.

Here's my booth. Furnace filters and box fan at the back. Works well.

probably not a good Idea. propane ovens have an open flame in them. witch would emit contaminants to the powder coating. Not whay you would call a dry heat. Electric oven is the only way to go.

nice little booth. That's what you call using the muscles between your ears.

i used to work at custom tool and die. the spray booth had a setup up where it would suck in the unused or overspray and store it in a bag like a vacuum cleaner. im wondering if a old central vac or shop vac vented to the outside would work or be useful in recovering the wasted powder.
