Potential new sled with mods, why would it have egts??

Hi guys, im looking at buying another backup sled, one im considering is an 06 rev with 5500 clicks on it. has some mods done to it and while I am a little wary of a modded sled, the dealer im buying it from has redone the top end and put a new crank in it with 0 hours on it. Just wondering what your thoughts are on it. The sled has been riden in bc so I would assume it has had its share of pounding.

mods that I saw just from a visual inspection:
-can
-ceramic coated pipe
-vent kit
-EGT probes
-vent kit
-punched track

I can only assume that the clutching has been changed as well. Thoughts? Also why would someone need to put in egt sensors?

EGT's are there because of the pipe and can so the carbs could be re-tuned with them installed.

its cheap insurance, lets you know if your going to burn it down anytime soon...... and makes tuning easy

price is 4500. It is from a dealership which is why im assuming its priced a little high.

Could mean a few things. Crankcase air leak, plugged carb fuel passage or jet, wrong jetting.......anything that can cause a lean condition and burn down your engine.
