the first day they would get to the canyon….

turn around and come home…...

it would snow another foot overnight…….

next day a struggle to get to the canyon……..

the next day they would get past the canyon and around the first slide and then have to turn around again…..

on the fourth day, they would get past the next two slides and to the Smith Basin turn off…….
