The Island is a great place; fresh clams, oysters, salmon, halibut, etc. Campbell River is quite self contained; shopping is good, health facilities, etc. The sledding, well it is Island sledding and not like the powder we get here nor on the west coastal mountains like at Squamish/Whistler/Pemberton.

Awesome camping and a lonnnnng summmer. A whole different lifestyle but kind of neat. Spend more time with water sports than snow sports.
