I thought it was 4feet down and 4 feet out was rule of thumb!

usually 4' vertical, or as deep as the foundation, or grade beam, apparently 4' horizontal at the base of the slab on grade, is equal to going 4' deep to the frost line.....we argued to be able to insulate 4' deep vertical but they told us this is how it was to be done..........waste pf time and money imo, could have used half the insulation, and half the fill material.....

lol, actually very little smell if the plant is doing it's job. Nothing like a pulp mill or sulphur plant.

Do you use bugs?
yup, influent comes into plant and is circulated through tanks and a membrane train, then we waste it out to a digester tank that has the "bugs". Pump the "clean" sludge through a press and we get clear water, sludge gets composted into great soil for the garden, lawn etc.
