I was doing some research last night, rk tek has a "fix kit" for $375.00, comes with pistons, rings, and the base gasket. Long as your wrist pin and the needle bearings are fine, cylinder walls are fine and have no warping, you should be able to do a top end yourself with no trouble. 2-stroke top ends are pretty simple. Take that $375, throw on another hundred or two for miscellaneous gaskets, cleaners, lubes, might have to buy a goofy tool or two, then when the job is done, some celebritory beverages. I'm considering having the RK Tek kit (or equivalent, not trying to start another peeing contest here) on hand for when the moment comes.
