Check the MSRP between their US website and their Canadian website.
2011 600 RMK Candian MSRP $10,799........USD MSRP $8,999.
Dollars are almost at parity. No excuse for this. Total BS.
I believe BRP also screwing us Canucks. Wonder what excuse the dealers would have when anyone goes in to snowcheck? Makes a trip south for a sled very inviting.

It's like that with everything, boats, cars, books etc. Total BS as far as I'm concerned. My next purchase will be in the US, for the difference in price you can rebuild a complete engine more than once so the warranty excuse holds no water for me.

Yup, I just came back from the states and I'll tell ya it's more than worth the trip if your looking at a large purchase item. I'll be heading there for the new motorhome this summer.

Everything was cheaper.......

Good point. Warranty only good for a year anyway, unless they changed it since I bought mine.

Just bought two sleds from the states. Well worth the trip. For what I saved, could have bought a third. That being said, the american dealers will not sell to canadians. In the past, there have been no problems, but with all the recent canadians buying down there, they said:nono:. But you can pick up one that has next to no miles for a lot less.

I take it you didn't buy your sleds from a dealer? Private deal? Were they brand new?

the closer our dollar gets to the US dollar the worse our economy will get BTW.
If you really want to bitch about pricing check out housing....
For what we pay in Calgary I can get a house in the states fo 1/2 of the price.......

One I bought from a dealership, and one was a private deal. Neither were brand new. If you really wanna get a brand new one...if you happen to have a friend or relative who lives in the states, give them the money to by it, let them put 1 mile on it, and then do up the paper work like you bought it off of them

I went to the states to pick up my travel trailer in 2006....... we bought a 30 ft raptor toyhauler ( bumper pull but no slides for the extra cargo room) and it was about by the time you add everything in and the rate conversion about 35 grand....... trip included...... at the alberta rv dealers the best they could do for me was 45 plus gst......... so yeah there isn't any sales tax in montana and the dealers there trip over them selves to get you what you want for a fair price... and at that there still makin money..... enough said..... ( i'm all about buy american these days Obama and I are like this II).

You really should look at BRP. We (Canadians) have subsidized them on more than one occasion and look at their prices, U.S. to Canadian. And I believe they were the first to refuse to sell across the border.
