Polaris ... Please make this track for the RMK's

I dont know why polaris cant make this into a 15" wide track for there mountain sleds. It sure would be nice if they offered this 3" instead of the crap one they have. Im not sure how hard it is to make this a 15" wide, but seems like it would be relatively easy. The lugs and design are very close to the skidoo track and would most likely work very well. Does anyone know any high ups at Polaris....

Yes, it would be a great alternative. Would the 3” Lynx track work with out cutting? I know it should not even have to be done at the expense of the owner after spending $24 - $28,000 on a sled. I see a lot of boosts for sale. Maybe folks are going for the best out of the box deal. Not having to add a track and labor to make what should be right, from factory.

I am just glad you folks are hashing all this out before i go to a turbo. I dont know anything about polaris tracks as i have been on a Cat tracked polaris for 9 yrs lol.

There is a need for a big new track from Polaris. It was not necessary before Boost as the series 8 works incredibly well for a N/A. The series 7 does work well under some conditions but tends to trench in the shorter lengths and is a bit too heavy.

I expect a series 9 will be replacing the series 7. It will have 3.5" pitch and 3" lug. Aslo there may be a return of the 174, or a 175??

Why aren’t you running a 3.2” lug?

Was thinking the 3.2” personally. Despite being slightly narrower it will gain a lot with the extra lug height

The 3 inch lugs look bigger than the 3inch lugs on my T3

The 3.2 is OK. it folds with power tho. I have ran the alpha track, the power claw 3", the X3, X3.2, Conquorer 2.80 and the skidoo 3". The Alpha and Skidoo 3" are the 2 best tracks

165 x 2.75 works great on my NA 850 unless it is rock hard then it folds over. I tend to stay home when the snow is like that.

It’s a good pattern - same one doo copied/stole from the Camoplast Extreme back in the day.

The 3.2 is very nice in deep snow the folding creates lift in powder. In marginal snow the folding causes the lugs to lose traction and spin
I think that’s why the 3.2 is not the end all be all track

I agree, in all conditions except for super hard the 2.75 has been great. Is an aftermarket cut track better? Maybe. But the lightness I think is what gets it on top of the snow so quick. The track is soft and in hard snow downhill breaking can be a total runaway, definitely not confidence inspiring.
