I am looking at installing a big bearing on my 03 800 crank , I was wondering if anyone knows the bearing numbers or a place I can order one from . I figured it would be a good idea to put one on the new crank .

I have a brand new crank from polaris , but it has the standard bearings on it . My case has already been line bored and drilled for the new big bearing , but I need the bearing .

Big Boy Bearing Kit
for 1997-05 Polaris 700/800 Crankshafts
The PTO end of your crankshaft is exposed
to extreme stresses caused by sudden
changes in traction, hard acceleration
and heavy braking. It flexes and wears as
these forces are applied. This Big Boy Kit
increases the bearing surface area on the
PTO end of your crankshaft by 30%, which
makes the PTO end more rigid and improves crankshaft life. Beneficial for
stock and modified engines. Your crankshaft and crankcase are required for
this modification. Includes two bearings and a spacer for the PTO side.

You do not need to machine the case all you need to do is tapper the oil hole towards the crank seal this way the bearing will get oil and it is very eay to do with a die grinder. I just did one this past week for a buddy of mine. The crankshaft cam with the wider bearing on the crankshaft. Cheers:)
