polaris 550 supersport snowmobile problems

My Polaris 550 Supersport snowmobile will not go faster than 45 mph. I have cleaned the carbs, changed the plugs, and swapped out the belt.
I have been told I shouls get at least 10 - 20 more mph.

Any suggestions?

I have been testing on a hard packed trail.
There is no tach. on the sled, and I have not been able to attach a tach to check RPM's

Hard to say. Could be many things. First guess is dirty clutches.

All I could tell you is that the motor is shot because I had a Indy 500 did all the same stuff. Asked my uncle and he said its at its last breath. Also if you have studs on the lake my 550 that I have now can do 85 on the lake.
