My sled is in the shop right now gettin a new motor put in her, the main bearins melted down just wonderin what precautions i can take so she don't meltdown again. They told me she was runnin lean, should i add some oil to the tank every fillup or what? Thanks.

I through in 20 - 30 cc of oil for every half tank of gas.

Power comander V is the only way to properly correct the lean spot :)

The can won't make a difference with the pcv. I have a 09 800 also with 900 miles on it and a pcv. Pull your exhaust valves and have a look at the pistons. If they are scuffing at all on one or both sides its just a matter of time till you have a failure. I am going to order "the fix" for mine before the whole engine gets taken out. good luck!

The lean spot is your not your oil it's you air to fuel ratio to much air makes it lean . Lean means hot too hot mean pistons swell and start to drag compression loss as well as extra force on crank bearings so more oil won't help
