I think you need a controller for this setup....

The TSS pipe is claiming around 7 hp.....because of the unique design...without any need for a controller...curious to hear if its true or not

My uncle/ riding partner put one on his t3 174 this year so I will get to see it work. But there won't be a stock t3 174 around to compare. Just a few 163 x

Center dump pipes aren't new - look at the 670X motor. Traditionally, a center dump will yield better mid range power then a rear exit, but considerable changes exist in the header and center section. Most performance pipes offered decent gains on the 670, but at an ear bleeding 8500-8600 RPM, and low / mid performance suffered. The TSS setup would be very rideable in tight terrain (which is where the riding style has shifted to)...

They claim 8 hp but I am thinking that is at the mid range.

Not sure about the controller yet. Still making changes and running on dyno. Gregg is pretty sure it won't need a programmer but can't say for sure yet.

I already have the JAWS can and I talked on the phone with Greg last winter about putting his pipe setup on my 2014 PC 800....he said a controller is needed and he would supply the numbers....did he change something since last year?

For CAT yes. I'm talking about etec pipe with no controller. The CAT big shark is worth putting a controller on, it effin rips. If the etec pipe works as good as that I'll have no problem putting a programmer on. He's confident it won't need it though. I can't wait to try it in a few weeks.
