Going on 21 years still used.

my dad has that exact same machine and still uses it once in a while. As a little kid we two-up'd on that Mach 1 for years until my uncle gave me a 89 Indy 340 sno star that he didnt use. Driving the Mach was always a treat. It's heavy as hell but we always had a blast on it.

I know at home in a box somewhere I have some actual pictures....but I googled these....

My first sled that my Dad had bought us was a 1971 Mercury 250....it even had reverse, you had to shut it off pull out a lever, turn the handle and push it back it in then re-start the motor....I had to taken a buddy with me has I couldnt start the thing my self...

Then he bought a 1975 Ski Doo 340 TNT....it was pretty fast, my brother inlaw wrapped it around a tree, then it came off the trailer on the way home, though he could have insurance cover it, they didnt....Dad was pretty pissed, the only good thing was for once it wasnt me....

The first sled I bought was a 1980 Yamaha ET340ED, I studded the track and changed the gearing, had a lot of good times with that little sled...my kid hit a cullvert with it about 8 years ago, and 4 years ago he pulled the motor out of it and stuffed it into a golf cart, custum home made exhaust, it's pretty loud but still runs great ...not bad for 32 year old motor....

Read the last sentence in the Yamaha ad.......LOL

We still have Yamaha 340 enticer. Deluxe just like the pictures haven't run it for a few years now found the bill of sale not long ago. $1970.00 brand new in 1980 from the old Yamaha dealer in red deer

Ahh the memories. My dad bought one of these back in 1980 as well. Really thought it was something and couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Then my buddy showed up with his new blizzard 5500 and kick my a$$ going across the stubble fields.

This has been such a great thread to read and watch. Saw one post where the new price was included which is great if more guys could remember what they or they're folks forked out back then.

Super fast sleds but worst cooling design ever!!!! once you hit a hard snowdrift the bumper cracked and your coolant leaked all over the ground. LOL first sled was a 78 440 TnT, rode her stock for a lot of yrs, then tunneled it and put the 500 cc jugs on the 440 bottom end. Paddled her up and took the hood off, going to have to dig up some old pictures for this thread. Damn I don't know how we ever rode with the handlebars around our knees!!!!!!!
