Nice pics, Ric. The first time Ron and I met Catmando. He rolled his machine off the side of the ramp. I didn't know weather to laugh or help him. I helped him. Great first impression. LOL We all laughed about it later. It was the first trip of the year,dec.1/06. Didn't get any pictures though.

We pulled out a guys "tin can" mod from the North Dore in McBride on one trip a few years ago. The next morning he pulled one of his spares out of his trailer, and it spun out on the ramp while he was loading it onto his deck. Then he spun out, yanked it backwards down the ramp, and launched it up the ramp, over the deck, and landed a ski on the roof of his new Super Duty. At this point he was going ballistic, pulling it back onto the deck, while the rest of us were trying to stay on our feet we were all laughing so hard.:rollinglaugh: He then jumped in his truck and took off, cutting the corner too sharp and running the side of his enclosed trailer along the big steel light post at the NCL.:D Money is no object for him, so we all had a good laugh razzing him over supper that nite. He ordered a new XP this year, and I guess he has already talked to Ralphy about shoehorning the Split Second 1300cc engine into the XP chassis.

No drinking at this point, but shortly after that....
The Red Polaris is mine and of course Summitric said...hold on while I get the camera...very funny and could have been real bad.

I know what you are saying..... Just wanted to give the first fun poke before GetR'Done picks it apart.

Hey Shredder, That is one funny story.... One that a person wakes up in the middle of the night & just starts to laugh to himself.

Yep...it's one of them running jokes for any of us that saw it. Everytime somebody spins out on their ramp we say; "@#%@ it..... pull 'er back and land that bi#@% on the roof.":D:D

:cool:Two years ago me and a buddy 'caved-in' and took a young 1st time rookie with us to McBride to 'carve the deep' cause he had been beggin' to go for a long time. We went up Renshaw and had a great day of riding and the rookie had the time of his life. He (like all of us on the first mountain ride), worked WAAYYYYY harder than we did during the course of the day and by the time we got back to the truck (with deck)....he was exhausted. I think he just wanted to finish the day and tie into a rum, and since the ramp was down already, he decided that he was gonna load that baby right away!. Problem was, there was a skiff of ice in front of the ramp and when the skags touched the ramp the sled slowed rapidly. If you're 20yrs old and your motorized toy starts to slow down there is only one option....you guessed-it! throttle-up!!. She was an old 583 Summit with only inch-and-a-half lugs but at 6500 rpm she 'hooked-up plenty' on the ramp bars. By the time the dust (aka safety glass) settled, there was a ski (and dent) on the roof, as well as a ski (and glass) in the back of the truck. Strategically placed cardboard, duct tape, and a pile of rum n' coke and we were back in business. The show must go on!!!.
Pics-no, we had laughed so hard we couldn't bring ourselves to start snapping photos. The young lad might have also snapped!.:ha_ha:

Summitric, the rum was great that nite, but they're always great on a sleddin' trip!!. And if there's going to be rum, cigars, and scotch at the Mountain Mania ride...might as well toss in some poker chips , that way the missus will at least know why the bank account took such a beating:chicken:

was loading up after a day in Fernie and I forgot that we unlatched the trailer to take a sled off the truck, up the ramp and the pic shows the rest. No damage to anything but we had a good laugh.

The best story I got is a very experienced rider was loading his brand new M7 into his brand new enclosed trailer that he had done probably a 10000 times before. He had pretty good momentum as he entered the trailer when about half way in he laid on the brakes........ forgot about the BRAND new left-hand throttle... after pulling the skis out of the roof and dusting off the ego and duct taping the hole in the roof, luckly no one was hurt except for the pocket book.
