I haven't been out to CNP yet, but we're coming out the weekend of August 20th. After seeing all your pics, I can't wait!

a lot of people will use 4x4 alot.. there are many steep hill climbs.. some of them are up to a mile long.. its some crasy riddin there.. the pics just touch the surface.. this is my third time there.... just incredible!

honestly, you can make 95 % in two wheel drive, if you have lots of experience and a good machine. some of the hairest hill climbs are in the CNP. i had no problem, only swithcing into 4x4 for a few short minutes( just for security) and up she went..

Actually we are leaving for the CNP area this Saturday morning. But we will start on the south side of hwy 3. We may then move over to the north side at Atlas or Mcgillvary. 5 more sleeps.

CNP has some great areas to ride. We took these before we went to S & M Jamboree. We randomed camped at Atlas, and rode from there. These pics are at the lookout/weather station, east of MacGillivery. Great alpine rides to treeline, and some snow.:)

Great video, it was like revisiting it again. These are pics. of the Dakota Plane Crash. We staged at York Creek. Aircraft aluminum lasts a long time. We had to hike up the last 200-300 m due to the snow on trail. We had a two wheel drive sport quad, and the one wheel drive bike. Awesome ride up.Reccommended:d Does snow still block the trail Grinder? Probably not for the 4x4's.

It was just in the one spot and it was passable. I just thought my mud pro was as light as a feather and it wouldnt break the crust.:nono:

Snow must still be blocking the trails, didn't you see him reaching for the winch in the snow. Mud pro maybe, but not snow pro. Looks like sweet riding there, but them bridges look pretty narrow how do SXS's get over or around or are they not allowed there?

We saw S x S 's there. Some narrow trails, probably stuff you have already encountered.... Not sure 'bout the bridges, we crossed a few though. Three new bridges were installed up MacGillivery Creek, care of the Quad Squad.:perfect10:
Someone should invent some retractable axles..........
60 wide to 48 wide at the push of a button.

There are still trails through the streams that you can use. Im guessing that the bridges are there for the quads just because of the volume of them. It keeps the majority of traffic out of the stream. So SxS no problem. There is downloadable trail maps for southern Alberta and info for staging areas on the club site quadsquad.ca I am very impressed about the maintenance, care and signage that they have done. Cant wait to get back Aug long and do some more.

we have been to the plane crash but it is on the oppistite side of the highway from macgillvery and atlas.. all our riding was done on the side we camped on in Macgilvery.
