Since I'm sitting home bored, I figured I'd create this thread to create some discussion.

Pick your medicine. I'm going to list 4 riding conditions and I'd be interested in hearing what sled you guys would choose. Your answer must be based on a completely stock sled minus clutching. And you can pick the same sled for all categories or different ones.

Here are the 4 riding conditions:
#1: HillClimbing(Highmarking)
#2: Hill Cross Racing
#3: Tight Tree's
#4: Wide Open Spaces(Deep powder)

I'dchoose the following:
#1: HillClimbing(Highmarking)-Summit 800 174
#2: Hill Cross Racing-HCR 800 153
#3: Tight Tree's-Pro 800 163
#4: Wide Open Spaces(Deep powder)Summit 800 174

i chose a 174.... only cause i am old, well by you kids standards anyways. it saves me from getting stuck more than i allready do, allows me to travel slower cause my old brain doesn't work as fast as it used to, well that and i hate wrecking things cause i need speed to get through a spot or 2:beer:, but when i do get stuck it takes me and a couple young fellas to hoist me outa the hole

#1: T3 174 (if the conditions are right for the sled, otherwise a T3 163)
#2: SP 154
#3: T3 174 (I need a little thinking time at my age, otherwise a T3 154 or a T3 163)
#4: T3 174 (I'm talking deep powder!)

T3 174 for all conditions.... Had mine for over 600kms, and just sold it. It was best sled I ever owned.... It was amazing in all the conditions and very forgiving. Raptors probably helped ;) I'm older and really appreciated it in the tight trees and deep snow, as it just stayed on top so well.... Once the knees are better will be on another :)
Can't wait to see the new 2017 summits ;)

that's because the guys on the other sleds are actually out there riding.

Until I start getting paid for it, 2-3 rides per week is plenty or I break too much $tuff... :doolaide:

How is the snow at Lacombe?pics from the last 3 days. Rode every day. Not bad. Prob ride tomorrow too.

Good conditions in many areas around Lacombe and Red Deer as I made it too only a few lesser areas by tire chain quad today,,, deep powder close to trees, and lots of sled tracks every where.

I stayed away from Blindman river since tracked up and ruff dose not fit my riding. Just road around our farm and Nabors that we know in our district. All snowed in fields of endless fluff.

ok i will take a shot at this. i assume this means stock sleds
1 hillclimbing summit 80 t3 174 assuming its not a icy hill maybe the turbo1100 162 can outclimb it but i am to light to handle that weight
2 hillcross i have no experience on this course never driven any sled newer than a 2012 in which
would consider in this type of course ie the freeride assault or hcr i do think the kyb 40s on the freeride are amazing for a stock sled though
3 tight trees 2016 pro 155
4 wide open spaces either a doo or a poo both fun in different ways though
