Pet Peeves!!

Getting mad does the trick. One threat to the neighbor that if they park in front of your house, you will personally move that vehicle does the trick. No one EVER parks in front of my house anymore. I have blocked people in a few times, not being able to get out for a few hours makes them remember where to park next time. Granted my situation was different, they run a daycare out of their house and got sick and tired of ALL the time 2-3 cars were in front of my house. They are legally not allowed to park in front of my house. I would park in front of their house or driveway when I couldn't park in front of mine to.

Or a retard kept parking in front of my brothers house, told him that was the snow pile when we were clearing the snow with the skidsteer did the trick. Think he figured he might need his vehicle again before spring :d

I don't care if people park in front of my place once in a while, but it's not going to happen on a daily basis. Either get more parking, or get less vehicles or you won't be happy with the result.

not sure what planet you are from cyle but who the f do you think you are? everybody on that street pays taxes for said street therefor they can park wherever they want unless like it has been stated later in the thread they are blocking your driveway, you dont own the road. and if you ebver buried my car in a snow pile with a skidsteer,............................well lets just say you would have fun unburying your front door to get out of your house and and then even more fun unthawing your pizzed on deadbolt. just sayin payback would be a biotch.:d:d:d:d

ha no...... its a pet peeve thread, not a lose my ch!t thread.
it just grinds my gears when i have friends that have to park a block or a street over when they visit because everyone is in the street and all the driveways are empty.

Not sure on the rules where you are Cycle, but in Redcliff I can park my vehicle for up to 72 hours anywhere on the street as long as it is not blocking a driveway, alley, in a handicapped zone. I have a neighbor who doesn't want anybody to park in front of there house at anytime. They had a driveway which they took out 7 years ago. Yes SEVEN, that is grown over with weeds and gets mowed now and then. But if you park there they tell you to move cause it's there driveway. If you complain about it being overgrown with weeds when the By-law shows up it turns to a herb garden. So they don't got to cut it. I have a two vehicle driveway and in the summer both vehicles are on it. So ther friends park in the front of my place. So it is a P!ss of when my company shows up and no where to park. So hopefully they are not at home when my company shows up cause we block the whole front of there yard. I hate people who make two sets of rules. One set whatever they deem necessary for them and then the rest of us have to follow the law. Friggin neighbors. OK i will shut up now

When you start a business out of your house, you HAVE to provide parking for it. You cannot have people parking in front of others houses. They can be ticketed for that. That is the big issue. And the thing is, they can park 1/2 block away where there is MILES of parking. Respect is a two way street. When a neighbor was selling there house, we were nice enough to not park any of our equipment at the house for weeks. 100% allowed to, where just being nice.....Also nice when I plow the entire street for free in the winter.

I could careless about the odd random person. But if I can never park in front of my house, somethings going to happen to change it.

Things like that are stupid though. But really you should have parking for visitors to your house. You shouldn't need to ALWAYS have people parking in front of others houses.

Nope wouldn't be any snow on it. City plowed up a huge pile behind it I would of put one in front so they were stuck in. Or just park something in front blocking them in. Not one fawking thing they can do about it. A cop down the street warned him about parking there already. The house is a corner lot, and he has to park right in front when he only drives the vehicle every few weeks.

Respect is a two way street, and taking up a front of a house parking stall of another persons house to save walking 50 feet when it's going to be there for weeks is so disrespectful it's not even funny. Especially when your garage and driveway are empty to boot.....

But it's solved already. No one has parked there since!
