and you can get ford to program the proper tire size into your trucks ecu....... Just sayin'.
Woulda been a lot cheaper.

I agree but after trying all the modes in Flashpaq Superchip and hoping for better perfomance and / or economy the only thing I found useful was the tire size feature and the Diagnostic Code Reader....... Just Sayin --- that Superchips is a waste of money. I definately would try other tunners before I go back to Superchips.

just sayin ran them in a ton of gas trucks and definately not a noticeable enough difference to spend the money on them. I have installed them on fords dodges chevs nissans all the units you can chip yes they did work a bit for some but to pay any more than $400 to really only adjust your tire size and clear dtc's is a waste.

I have had a Superchip tunner on my 5.4L gas F250 for years and it's a dog. It works better on stock setting and the only thing I use the tunner for is to adjust the tire size to get the speedo working correctly. Any modifications you make to the truck ( CAI, exhaust etc. ) will de-tune the chip. The chip typically does not take into account the mods unless your tunner knows the custom program to account for the particular mods. Most people get worse performacne using a CAI and tunner (unless you get a custom tune). Since Superchip must be CARB (emissions compliant) - they are reluctant to give you a tune that works with CAI. Also Superchips technical support sucks.

thats why Iam sayin just run intake and exhaust no chip there not worth the $ you spend on them unless the truck is diesel then it is well worth the $. and very very true if you do any mods to the vehicle i.e. intake, ehxaust, headers you would have to get a custom tune made for it to properly work in conjuction with the other mods done to the truck. Most of the tuner companies will build you a custom tune if you want one and want to spend the extra $ to get it built. If your gonna run a gas truck with chip and all the goodies spend that extra money and get a new custom program built for your truck

oh beleieve me I know what there is to know about the titans I'm a nissan dealer in cranbrook and yes truck was turned back to stock and still never worked the software in the programmer is currently only 2 months old and still will not work and cant get a straight answer why it will work other than that i'm out around $500 for a chip I used for 2 months. I think people are liking the programmer cause they have nothing to compare wqith the adjusted timing does really nothing same with the wide open throttle option if your gonna chip it go diablsport or superchips they actually work. the only thing my bully dog did was a bad low end lag a decent mid range power and a real weak top end speed when the throttle was pressed I found with the air intake and full exhaust it did better power and fuel than the chip

Some guys with Titans have mentioned they had issues but it seemed more truck specific. Majority have had great response from the BD and Cortex. Most are monitoring air fuel ration now too and seeing that data is convincing along with the track runs and dyno runs. I had the 2 degree timing change long ago and that in itself got rid of a low end lag with a bit better bottom end and mileage. Now with the BD premium tune and WOT restriction removed my truck is moving pretty fast! Track guys are finding that the BD 87 tune with +2 timing improved the top end most. Premium tune seems to give more on bottom and mid. To get the most it is recommended to add a CAI (or mod stock box) and at least low restriction muffler.

I will likely be in your area this summer. Will stop by and shoot the chit. You can take my truck for a drive. It has worked well on my unit and I paid under $400.

On the Titans guys are monitoring air/fuel ratios and seeing improvements with the addition of CAI and exhaust. Real track time improvements. I've spent considerable time on the Titan forums gathering info.

Looks like the effectiveness of these units is based on type of truck and even on a production run of a certain truck. I know not every run that comes out of the factory has the exact same stock settings. That's why the programmer manufacturers suggest updating their software regularly as the tunes will change.

I know I'm happy and would line up my Titan beside another Titan no problemo. Anyone want to come out and try it...bring beer. :d:beer:

Instead of using a superchips or what ever chip, I would find somebody or place that has the tuning software like Hptuners or EFI live and get them to tune your truck. They can change pretty much anything you want from timing, power enrichment, turn off DTC's life EVAP and rear O2s. I have done this in my 7.4L chey annd notice quit an improvement over the superchips programmer I used to have
