Is it safe to ride Brandywine and Rutherford now? What is the base depth?

Not even close. Personally I would not venture out to the glacier until late january or february. The season started off strong up here but the recent warm weather and rain did a lot of damage to the coverage.
Unless you know either one like the back of your hand they wait until more experienced guys have gone up. There will be numerous crevasse still and the moulin that killed the guy 2 seasons ago is still there on the icecap and there are others now as well.
