Exactly Sno-pro. I used it as an example to my kids when I was rejected entry. Told them all about what happened and how it effects me now just about 30 years later

You have to love some of the stupid border rules.

Two Thanksgivings ago my wife and I got married here in Creston. Had an absolute perfect day except for having to go without a band at the reception because the lead singer had been caught with a pipe (no drugs) like 12 years ago. AMAZING up and coming band from Whitefish MT. Really put a damper on an otherwise perfect day. Being a long weekend (Thanksgiving), and last minute, we couldnt line anything else up so I ended up pulling the frickin stereo system out of my house and putting it in the hall and hooking an Ipod up to it.

Tried going down to the border and reasoning with the border guards. No luck. I could see if the guy had been caught with a kilo of coke or something. But an empty pipe? No common sense at all.

Oddly enough, I had a group of dudes come visit from the states back east. One of these braniacs decided that we had no weed in Canada and he opted to try to bring some in. They found it, did a full on search (EVERYWHERE, ifyouknowwhatimean) upon which they didn't find any more, and let the dudes go. Into Canada. They were real late, but got there and we started the trip. We stumbled across some more grass and everything was fine.

I was amazed they let him through, this must have been 13 years ago? Moreso, I can't believe the guy didn't think we would have access to that stuff in Canada.
