If you get the proper harness sent to you for your setup it is really not that hard to do at all. I did the kit in my 53 chevy streetrod and was pretty simple, hardest part was modifying the kit later to accept the vette engine... haha Gut the car of the interior and carpet and have at it, it is pretty simple and took me about 5 days working after work in the garage... Just make sure you get the correct harness so you don't have to modify it to work..

Mr. Boost,

Need some info to get the correct one;

Does your car have column or dash ignition?

Do you have a 12, 14 or a 18 circuit?

Are you running electric fans?

Do you have a electric fuel pump?

Do you want to mount the panel in the trunk?

What Tranny you running?

price varies but usually around 450 to 600 bucks for the kit. Did a 67 chevy pickup as well a 68 camaro. Theses kits come with all the extra accessories plumbed in like fuel, fans, ac, waterpump, etc...

Before you buy just think how bad is your origional setup first. If its just minor repairs, just fix properly and it will work good as new. But if it has been hacked up 5ppl before you and beyond your capable repairs then get the new one. The truck only took use a weekend to put in, the car was a little longer. Painless sells it with all there wires labelled for simplicity.

I ve done lots of them. All jeep stuff with chevy engine manual and auto. Not hard at all. Really you will probably do a better job than some 17 year old car audio hack ! IMO
Gut the inside, seats etc lay it out and secure everything well zap straps and lots of loom makes it pretty!
