Over rev on clicker 1

So I picked up a 2014 summit x 146 a couple weeks ago. It is still in break in mode but I am over reving a bit. I was told by my dealer once break in is over it is likely ill have to add a bit of pin weight. I would like to set it up for riding in Saskatchewan right now where the elevation is around 1500 feet. I was planning on buying a set of the dalton adjustable pins but I have no idea how much pin weight is in them from the factory or how much I have to add and what clicker I should set it up to run on? I was planning on buying the 14.5-20.4 gram weights, will this give me enough adjustability to run it at home as well as out west?

Where is sask are you? The adjustable weights should be enough to get you around here and out west with some clicker adjustments also.

Make sure to only tighten your primary to 85 ft pounds maximum when putting it back together!

If you only go to the mountains a couple times a year pull your clutch apart and put the stock pins back in. That way you can clean and inspect your clutch once or twice a season. If you go out west alot. Leave it on clicker one and ride it.

You could also look into a Shockwave helix for your secondary. That allows you to increase your ramp angle on your helix to keep from over reving on the flatland. Then when you want to head west just back out the adjuster and you're back at stock.

It may not be the best solution depending on where you ride the most but it is another option.

loading up pins may not be the answer. look into skidoos low elevation clutch calibration. comes with a few more parts to swap out but you should have both if you plan on riding mountains and low elevation

Okay thanks guys, I was also looking at a dynamo joe dual elevation kit but I didn't really have a problem with how it performed other then it overreving.

sounds like you are running a little lean on the pin weight. Go with roosterbuilt those guys flat out know there stuff. Give them a shout and ask a few questions. They will get you dialed in.

Give Brett at Rec Supply a call. He can set you up with pins. I ran solid pins out here and hollow pins with long set screw in the mountains. You can get away with the stock pins but it will over rev when you jump and the track has no resistance.
