How do you get the cv joint apart on a outlander to change the boot? First time chaning one on my outlander and its not the same as my king quads. Thanks for any help.
Well if you already have the axle assembly off the quad, pull the boot clamps off on the inboard side and slide the boot down to expose the slip joint. If memory serves there is a very small circlip on the end of the axle shaft that holds it to the inner joint (you may need to clean out some of the grease to see it it's really small). Use a pair of circlip pliers or fine needle nose pliers to pinch the circlip, then pull the axle shaft out at the same time. Now you can pull both boots off.
