After getting unstuck and plugging the tether back in and pulling and pulling finally checking spark plugs and looking over all kinds of things to eventually realize that the tether wasn't pushed on far enough, or it was full of ice. I have done that a few times now.

Get to the destination 4-6 hrs "or further" away and forget that the keys for the HUGE "unbreakable/uncutable" lock on the sleds on the deck are still in the garage at home :/

Here's another for a good laugh.

My buddy decided to follow me to get some footage on his helmet cam. Came to the lip and either hesitated, or let off the throttle at just the "right" time.

Thank god he was alright. Said his shoulder was a bit sore, but that was about it. Didn't slow him down a bit for the remainder of the trip.

I had no idea how bad he crashed until I watched the videos.

I was getting kind of cocky doing drops this year.. but my husband would first scope it out then go tell me what to hit.. most of the time he'd hit it first so I could gauge my approach angle.. Well Little Mrs Smartie pants that I am, I decided that I would pick my own Cornice.. but I hadn't learned enough of what to look for upon landing.. sure enough I found a nice cornice, but it didn't have a gradual decline.. it was a very flat Landing.. As I was going to bail off he stopped me.. told me what I did wrong and what to expect.. there was no turning back.. so I had to bite the barrel and punch it.... It was a Hard Hard HARD vertebrate crunching landing..

Ouch - having bad bad meories hearing that one. Buddy of mine broke his back 2 years ago out behind Gorman - bit to fast off a cornice & landed on flat. Crumpled over his bars and ended up needint a heli ride for him + another for his sled. Not going to share that vid.
