...well i had looked at some nice trailers the last year and was going to go with the gooseneck(trailwest), but made the decision to go with a local builder instead... he just got his shop tooled up and was very intrested in doing us a trailer the way i wanted it... he ran a trailer sales shop and was bringing in atlas sled trailers previously... he said after selling 50 or so for them he and the atlas rep finnally decided to go on their own...lol

its going to be a 29foot so it should easly handle four 174 sleds, and we dress it up as much as was possible, we went with 3/8 plywood all around with white 1/4 sheeting vionel in the inside, with chrome plating trailer will be insulated on all four sides, we went with a full side of upper cabnets 20x24, with a 40000 btu heater in the middle cabnet vent out threw cabnets, 45 gallon fuel caddy underneath rear axle, and piped in threw cabnet to fill from inside with pump(racefuel)

we went with four chris brant style fold down alu benches on oppsite wall, with fuel doors... t5 led 110v lighting, with led 12 volt lighting in the middle, went in the cone of the trailer with a full size work bench with large doors underneath for a owan 1600 watt generator with remote start, batttery backup and propane bottle storage... went with 500watt dvd,cd stero with 12inch sub in nose corner, roof mount 32inch led tv for sled movies and helmet cam footage... and finished other side of cone of with mid size full height toolbox, and wall mount barbicue, with over head fan

5100 pound axles on 16" single axle tires on all rims, with full light and chrome package... black in color

hope they can produce the trailer we were quoted... keep you informed

Sounds pretty tricked out.. Is the builder in Med Hat? I'm looking for a new trailer and having a hard time deciding what brand best suits.. They all seem very similar.. I would prefer a "Made in Canada" stamp...

Keep us posted.. I'm excited to see this bad boy..

I talked to Houston a while ago about his plans to start building here, it sounds pretty exciting, and I will be really interested in what they produce. Their alterations and re-builds have been pretty spectacular.

Keep us posted on the progress and how it looks.

Thanks

Fred you mean on the interior there will be 3/8 layer of plywood then the 1/4" vinyl on top? Is this just to make the walls stronger? Doing the interior of my trailer right now and that sounds like a good idea as I was just going to put the 1/4" material on.

wow is trailer going to be allum. because 3/8 plywood is 28.5 lbs per sheet plus 1/4 material. That will be one nice trailer and heavy, aguess doesn't matter now days with all the big trucks that are pulling it.....PICS

yes it will have the one inch or so of foam insulation, then three eights plywood with the quater inch white vinyl, did it this way so it does not sweat with heat, and stays warm much longer, yes the trailer will be heavier, but i also feel much better built, we moved the axles up two feet to take some load off the hitch

was in to see it today and it looked real sweet, underbody fuel tank will be 43gallons, and front stero is looking great, going with stanless steel cabnets and bench, hope to have in in two weeks

You should put up some in progress pictures so we can all follow it along.

I am also looking at doing a full custom next year so might have to give him a call and run my ideas past him and see what he thinks.
