I was wondering if anyone knows if it is still LEGAL to go up to these by Cow Lake. I read some where here that the Fish and Game Police were handing out tickets over May long weekend. For what ???? I went to the new tower last year and really enjoyed the view and was hoping I could go for a ride up to the old tower this year and I don't want to get fined if I go. I have better things to spend my money on ! Let me know !!

as long as you have your reg and ins. there should be no issues. They don't want jeeps up there,,,,,,, or rowdies........ those towers and equipment are expensive. I wanted to get a road use aggrement but was told I really don't need one. If the weather is poor the fire tower guy, Barry likes company as well.

Where is the best place to park if we go out there ??? Last year we just parked at the bottom of the new fire tower, there was a small parking area there just off the hi-way. Is that the best place to park ?? What else is there to see in the area there ??? My buddies and I are going out there tommorow most likely and would like to see some interesting stuff. Let me know, Thanks !

Just got home. What a day of riding !!! A little damp in the morning but was just cloudy by lunch time, with a few sunny breaks. Made it up to the old fire tower finally after taking every trail going up but the right one. Ask some guys where to go, down by where we parked, and then took the right trail. Boy, it is INCREDABLE !!! The view and the ride up to the old tower is beyond words. I can't wait to go up there on a clear day where you can see even futher. Back down to the truck for lunch and a break then down the road to the new fire tower and the look-out point. Nice ride up there. Back down to the road and across the hi-way by the trapper's cabin, tried to find the cold sulphur springs and the water falls.:nono: DIDN'T HAPPEN !!! :nono:Got in a ways on a cut line and ended up mud bogging and then got on high ground and down a another cut line and ended up in a pete-moss swamp. Thank goodness for luck and one tree in the middle of no where.(Had just enough winch line) Got out of there and then had to cross the stream to get back on the road. After some creative quading we got across the stream and on the gravel road. Does anyone know how to get to the waterfalls an easy way ?? Or the cold sulpher springs ?? Boy I was sure glad to go quadin today, Can't wait to go again !!

Are you talking about the falls creek and the sulphur spring that way.???Right by the trappers cabin there is a road there.Bp aamaco lease i believe.Go all the way down that road across the blue bridge through the stagging area and follow the trail to the springs and the falls. It is alot of gravel road riding to the staging area
