One cold ass day February of 2008 north of Elmsworth, AB. This Mission rig sat like this for a couple days before it warmed up enough before cranes would set up to remove the derrick.

This is the rig that I was drilling on back in 2005 on a Petro-Can SAGD project before making the jump over to the directional driller's chair that summer. Our company man on that project was the infamous Mr. Vader.

Think it was, I was on the Stoneham rig down the road drilling for Conoco. The toolpush from stoneham was buddies with the toolpush of this rig which is how I ended up with the pic
