When was the last time the oilers or any canadian team won the cup?

Might as well just accept they are going to lose every year

Hockey is pretty lame now anyways, watched a few minutes at the saw mill. No fights, nothing interesting. Just a bunch of dudes figure skating with a puck lol

How did y'all like the high sticking into Eckholm's face, that wasn't called. He was bleeding all over the place, and no call. Should have been a 4 minute minor!!!!
Thanks, zebras...
I forgot to watch ot again bitnthey said it was probably from a follow through. Was a pretty nasty one though

Ahh you follow Huberdeau and Khadri for the Flames I see. They could make Disneys Stars on Ice hands down on the first try out.

Never heard of her. playing for a team called the "flames" makes sense though.

Poor coaching, no sense of defensive systems and if there was, players that had no desire to follow it. Deserved the outcome.

Strange that Katz kept Holland. Should have fired more than the coaches
Woody was a good coach, 2seasons in the playoffs have his fingers all over it. This is a good ole boys club that needs a big overhaul. 6 coachs in 8 years and alot of wrecked careers over this club. Woody was only partially the problem with not being able to bench underperformers because of a 21 man roster and no cap space. Also with the way he changed the D structure, should have just stayed the same and what was working before. KH needed his keys taken away or fired, Schwartz should have been let go as well, hasn't been touched since 2014 with goalies melting down come on. Top 6 only firing about 75% at best and bottom 4 same. If this team thinks they can win a cup without being healthy and accountable and only having 2 lines and a maybe 3rd line along with an AHL 4th line they are truly living in another world. If McD had his fingers in this as well then just make "princess McD" the GM and see if he can do it. Until then there is no way in H they will be able to go 11,2,2 the next games even if they had Biddington/Greco in net, let alone 39,20,10 to "maybe" make the playoffs. Like i said glad this is only my 2econdary team by proximity;) Last but not least, Knoblauch is buddies with Scwartz and McD,s old coach from Erie, this whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Also my second team so I just kinda enjoy watching to see how they keep trying to think they can get by on 2 lines and a wicked PP year after year. They need to reconstruct and rebalance the roster so they can actually still compete when the bottom 2 lines are on the ice. Also need to be able to win games that are played mostly 5/5 and not depend on 4 PP goals to win games.

Woodcroft was a “winning” coach but in my eyes that was because of the talent on the ice and not his coaching methods. The further he went the worse the results and the final straw was the “change the system” the players were used to.
Not saying that Holland didn’t make some bonehead moves but the players quit or didn’t have the mental capacity to adjust to the new system to start the season. Nurse was a prime example and Bouchard a close second.
Case in point was the game against the Kraken. Great first period, not a bad second, and a shitty third period (no shots on goal).
"Cup or bust" was a fitting slogan because the writing was on the wall and how many times is it the coach that takes the brunt of the punishment.
Wish them all the best as they are a dynamic team to watch when they are in sync.
