2017 plus are both di and pi. Older are di only. Catch cans.. not a huge fan some believe they fill up and have potential to slug back to intake. If you do get one drain frequently and make sure it has a premium coalescing element.
di motors respond well to synthetic oil and quality gas
I had one on my '11 ecoboost. I was having issues with having plug fouling and throwing a code. I put the can on and it seemed to fix the problem. I had it on for over 2 years and I never had an accumulation in it. At first I would try and drain it at every oil change and nothing would come out and then stretched it out over 2 or three and nothing ever drained out. I was happy it seemed to solve the plug fouling
I have been using a jlt catch can for a few years now on my raptor since i had throttle body issues. I had to pull the intake off at 230000 km and the amount of oil and carbon buildup in the intake was crazy. I picked up a takeoff intake and throttle body with 0km and did the catch can at the same time. Pics are of what it does. This is after 2000km. In the winter it catches alot more moisture. Im glad this crap isnt going through my engine anymore.
