A freind bought a 01 700 summit there is a an amsoil sticker on the belt cover and the oil in it is a purpley pink. He is not sure if it is synthetic or not is it ok if he runs regular 2 stroke oil thru it? can he mix the 2? I have never had anything to do with synthetic so I couldn't answer this

First all brands of oil say they are compatable, but when I change brands I normally let the tank get low and then fill with the new oil. I then keep a check on the tank to make sure it is being used.
As for synthetic I have used nothing but since 1976. For the difference in price it is good insurance. We have had three sleds with over 8000 miles and the compression was still very close to new.

The Amsoil Dominator is more for the high horsepower and modified racing engines. This contains additives for higher operating temps. The cost is more than $8 litre though, Sugg retail is $11.35 L. The more common oil that seems to sell alot and alot of people use is the Amsoil Interceptor, that is more reasonable priced and does not stink and burn your eyes either. I sell ALOT of that oil to fellow sledders, and in the summer alot of Seadoo owners as well buy it, Its in the SnowandMud store. For more info see the Amsoil Site AMSOIL - Synthetic Oil, Synthetic Motor oil, Synthetic Engine Oil, Air Filters, Oil Filters and Synthetic Greases

Sorry did not mean to mislead on the price. But I just checked my bill, and I acually pay a little less than that, but we buy it by the barrel. "Amsoil Dominator" 205L barrel was just over $1600.00 it worked out to $7.84 a liter. I was selling it to my friends at $8 a liter to cover spillage and easy math. We buy a barrel every year.

I can get barrels too if you need them, Retail is $1800 + env fee, SnowandMud Price is $1600 + env fee+GST and you pick up with me at warehouse, any profits go to SnowandMud.com, and there isnt much on that price.

The Interceptor is retail $ 1672 + env fee, SnowandMud Price is $ 1380 + env fee + GST and same you pick up at the warehouse with me

Any one interested let me know..
