Curious to see how many people on this site are involved in 1 way or another with a drilling rig and the process of drilling the hole for either gas or oil.

I've got 10 yrs in now on the glorious iron that helps pay the bills. Have seen a few things that make you stand back and ask .... WTF....

9 years drilling. 8 years in the Specialty wireline business. I don't have any photos right now, It's usually 20 below and night time when we get to see guys like Mike. The patch seems to think our tools only work when it is dark.

In the service side of the drilling industry for 11 years, have been able to see much of the world doing it like right now I am in Portugal. Here is a rig I was on in the South China Sea.

Here is an example of where a mud motor IS NOT suppose to come apart while drilling a horizontal well.

Hey without you guys suppling my fuel and whatever what would we do. Thanks for the hard work and time away from your loved ones and away from your sledding and quadding times

Arrowhead Drilling "Rig 11" was my first job out of high school. Worked lay down trucks after that then went over sea's to fight oil well fires, then worked in the Hot Tap service for 7 years . Now at a poly ethylene plant, but just started a oil field rental company on the side, 400bbl tanks, rig matting and wireless Rig Phones etc. Thought I was done with the "Rig life" but I got sucked back in. Best industry in the world, my 2 cents.
