hey guys ive got a quick question, ive got a 98 rmk700 that i want to get rid of the oil injection on for obvious unreliability reasons, but in further inspection i noticed it feeds oil into the bottom end, so my question is if i plug up those lines am i gonna get sufficient oiling in the lower end with just mixed gas? any help is much appreciated cheers

I have an 04 800ho and took off oil injection. I hooked a clear hose to where the oil pump sent oil done to the water pump and keep this hose sticking straight up. Put oil in it and plug it. I ran my sled all year and oil went down about 1 inch best thing every. cut my oil comsumption down by a litre per day

You probably had no trouble because Skidoo crank bearings are greased and sealed and therefore don't require injection oil to lube them. Im no expert but it would probably be a different story on an RMK. Oh and the oil in that tube contraption of yours probably only went down an inch because you plugged the other end of the tube and air couldn't escape. Think back to when you were 5 and marvelled at how pop magically stayed in the straw when you put your finger on the end of it...
