Actually most the weight comes from the etec engine package. All the extra wiring, sensors, solenoids, ebigger computer, injectors, etc, etc

very good comparison, just goes to show the xp is still one dam light sled! Should have never sold mine...

Was going to start a thread for a few light weight things I'm doing on my T3 163, but this one is cool. I did a brp race hood, dropped 11 lbs, weighed my diamond s can (with cooker on!!!!! Lol) compared to stock dropped 15 lbs, C3 syncro drive dropped just over 2 lbs. for a total of just over 28 lbs. still planing on a front and rear suspension conversion. I think we could see 40lbs total quite easily. Cool thread!!!!!

Any dealer can order in the race hood from the race shop. Tell them you race open mod in hillclimb and no problembo.
