I haven't seen any great single track threads here to show the "Best Places to Ride" so I thought I'd start an official thread. Post your favorite areas for dirt biking, trails, and all things single track. Feel free to include pictures, videos, and maps with directions to these areas. Also looking to see th best places to camp out and ride so post up people.

Just to get this thread started, thought i'd post a video clip from Blackfoot Motocross Park in Calgary. This clip was cut short while on a parade lap to check out the track a couple weeks ago as my batteries died before I got around the track foe the first time. I'll shoot some more when I get again.

Only been to Dutch Creek once and couldn't find too much to ride. We did make it to the heli/fire lookout. That was ok.

I prefer either technical and/or flowy single track. I find Mclean to satisfy most of my needs with a variety of trails and soil types.

Plans are changing and now I'm looking at camping out at Fallen Timber for the May long weekend. Anyone ridden there and or camped in recent years. The guy that runs the campsite for the Province says it's pretty quiet with lots of trails and great for family riding with the kids. Any feedback is appreciated ahead of booking.

Not sure if it's exactly in the fallen timber area, but last May long a buddy and I found a decent, off the beaten path spot. Had a small creek to wash dishes, clean hands, etc.

I think you're probably thinking of bringing your trailer though? Your truck will no doubt make it there, but there is quite the hill to go into, and out of the spot. First a drainage ditch that'll almost high center a truck, then off camber hill going into a steep, rocky decent. If you are planning on tenting it lemme know.

(might have to fight you, we may be going back to the same spot. Haven't decided if Im racing or not in the porkies)

We're settled now on Fallen Timber and booked a spot there a few minutes ago. I'm running my truck out with the Hilton loaded up on the back and the trailer in tow. The road into the camp site is supposed to be decent so no issue there at all with the trailer, and I know the truck will make it into most campsites (lol). Can't wait to get out and use this thing.

Good stuff.

I for some reason thought your camper was a trailer (the one with the rack on the front for loading toys).

Either way, should be fun. Never been to the campsite. I usually avoid campsites if possible just to get away from the people, noise, and dust. Nice being a bit more "out there" and enjoying the aspect of camping (fires outside, letting the dogs run off leash, scared of bears, etc)

I know this is a old thread, but I would like to bring it back up. We are looking into new camping / dirt biking areas to explore in Alberta. Looking for stuff that is not quadded out, any suggestions? We have ridden Vega, Fallen Timber, and west of Caroline mostly.

Thx Scott
