The snow was so deep on Frisby today it was hardly ridable,it was a fight just to get to the cabin and by 3:00 we had not even made it to the ridge yet. The strong wind and sideways blowing snow made it very interesting when trying to pick a line . Trust me when I say there wasn't a Doo, Poo or Cat that could make any headway off the trail. We finaly made it to the Caribou closure area by 6:00 tonight in 3 to 4 feet of fresh and if you got stuck were the wind had blown in it was bottomless. I took a few pics but there was not many action shots as we were stuck most of the day.
Evil1Your right it was Kyle in the first shot. Was very deep out there today. Was much better once it got dark and the lead dog lights came out.Not a day I would have wanted a nitro. Several time we were getting stuck going down hill. With the deep snow along with poor visibility it was not a place for people that don't know the areas wellIThere's enough snow now that the groomer needs to start for the season.
Wow is about all I can say pow is unreal for movember 11 broke fresh pow all the way to frisby cabin well worth the early trip thx snow god gonna b a DEEP season guys
wholly smack batman.....2 weeks early this year, we were doing the same last year on the 25th. First ride with the boosted nytro. My avatar pic has my first stuck with the turbo in it...
Sorry, no new pictures today from today. Just way too busy riding in the bottomless powder. The conditions are amazing for this time of year. Couldn't even see the tracks we made last night on Frisbie. Was white out across the top of the ridge but once we crossed the top and dropped down into the Caribou area it was unbelievable. Over 5 ft of snow most of the small creeks a filled enough to cross and small trees and stumps are well covered. We have had 7 guys riding now for three days and no damage. I would say this is the best early season snow we have had for many years. The condition are like what people would expect around mid Dec. Definitely worth the trip. The trail going into Frisbie is starting to get rough. Sure would be nice if they started grooming. More than enough snow for the groomer now and supposed to snow all week.
