I was there when he did it. He didn't even know it was a cabin there until we dug a hole to the door and showed him! He couldn't believe it ! Just another newbie on a sled! The snow was vey deep and he missed the chimminy. No damage except his red face.

Its been raining down low but snowing above 4w000 ft. The snow is great with about a foot or better of fresh. If you get off the main travelled areas the snow is amazing. The top areas are very wind blown. Definitely worth the trip out.

Out at frisby today demoing the 13 Skidoo. Snow is ok.... Most taken. If you know where your going, lots good stuff to be had. Lower trees before cabin has some nice stuff. Trail in is slurpee fun till about 4500. Anything under 5k its heavy

parking lot is bare but there is tons of snow on the perimiter for a perfectly groomed trail Only a few trucks there today. Access will be great for the weekend. Happy Easter

Really?? I found them to be quite dry and actually really nice. (2nd Boulder lot)
Still winter up top. Snow is a little heavy, but still lots of it.

You wouldn't have liked it up there today. Fresh snow and sunshine, made it hard to get around and irritating on the eyes.

I'ts hard to believe you can go riding on Good Friday in April and have conditions like in January. A bunch of us went up Griffin and were trenching and breaking trail all day in 2 feet of fresh and not a another track in site. We had sunny skies and only a lack of gas sent us home. Looking forward to sunday for another great ride in Revy. Having a very hard time uploading good pics, will work with S+M to work through the problem.

How is the trail holding up? a few of us are thinking about heading up this weekend, is everyone still parking at the bottom or are you driving up yet?

parking lot is gravel, minimal snow from booth to the bridge, then gets better after that. everyone is still parking in the lot.

Thought I would do one more post to round off the weekend. On sunday we rode west of Revelstoke and still unloaded on a two foot base right off the pickup tailgate. The conditions are absolutely stellar for this time of year. We had two feet of fresh on Friday and not much less on Sunday. You can still do all the tree carving you wanted without getting into trouble.
I would have to say that the conditions are at least three weeks later than last year and we should go well into May this year.
Don't put your sleds away yet, and just remember the snowmobile closures come off monday April 16 th. There should be some epic riding in Standard and Caribou Basin. Might be worth taking monday off.
