The new cabin looks amazing! Thank you CSC volunteers.
So how is the snow out there? Is it worth it to try for a ride sometime this week?

I was down there Thursday in the south end, took the road / trail south from Cataract, good coverage. Trails themselves also have good coverage, some stutter bumps were starting to show up but snow was deteriorating and slushy for sure. At the end of the day we came back into Cataract from the west and that section / road was starting to develop some small bare patches, I can only assume those have worsened since then.

Saturday was down there as well just having a fire at Etherington, went for a short 2-3km ride from the campground, coverage was still good and only minor bare patches here and there. Woops were creeping up more and more though and snow had a pretty good slush consistency going. Oddly enough it started snowing a little just before we left around 330pm.

Does anyone have any interior photos of this cabin? Or know the dimensions of it? It looks awesome! I think other clubs could benefit from the plans and a materials list!

I rode 110 km of trails out of Etherington on Tuesday March 9, it was mostly good cover but things were getting dicey here and there. Probably should have had ice scratchers. Checked out the new cabin, it is amaze-balls! Thanks to all involved. I'm thinking the trails are done for the season? Any intel out there?
To ttmach, the cabin is located at the southern tip of Oyster trail, up on the hill.
Got out on the Harley today, it's great to ride the snow and the roads in the same week!

I staged at Etherington and no dirt to get to snow. Not sure about Cataract. Coverage was good everywhere except Valley Bottom trail

Yep saw you, looked like a sled and a bike? I went again today, south side has lots of snow, the North trails are spring conditions. A great year at Cataract comes to a close.

With the new snow I wonder if the trails would be covered again.

Went out yesterday for a last ride and a hotdog it was pretty good. Wife and kids loved it. About 20 cm on the higher sheltered trails.

Where did you stage? And how far out of the parking lot did you get until the snow improved?

Etherington the more south and west you get the better. The first connector trail was covered but thin then all ok after that. One sunny warm day and it's all over tho.
