Any updates? Looks like freezing levels are coming down for a few days then spiking back up to 1800.
Was planning to come in from Calgary for 5 days.

Heading up Brandywine tomorrow? Brother is going skiing, so no one to ride with. Full gear, lots of backcountry experience, not so much sledding. Still learning how to ride so appreciate someone who knows the way around so I don't bury myself in an unexpected creek... Riding out of the Whistler campground, but can hookup at the lot or wherever. PM me, or just post here and I will check before I head out tomorrow.

Update from today. People are parking just up from the mainlot, trail is pretty thin from there until after the first steep hill. Really whooped from that point on. 5 big creek crossings from the cabin up that are getting really trenched out, lots of stucks in them, once you are up top still need to be aware as the creeks are pretty open there as well. Had to turn around due to a sled issue so that was as far as we got, but it is looking pretty good for this time of year once you are up top, hope they start grooming up top soon though.

brandywine had the groomer out last night. There is 1 small hole on the trail right near the summer bowl turn around. Its deep, somewhere between tits deep and overhead deep. If you want to try get into the alpine right now... you better have a turbo.

Brandywine is pretty whooped up again, but at least all the creeks are filled in, that one hole in the trail is just after the cabin, at where the first creek usually is. I would say the snow at the meadows is at least as good as it ever got last year. Lots of people up today.

Need someone to ride with this weekend, Saturday or Sunday doesn't matter, needs to be at Brandywine as my trailer is snowed in so I am there for the season. Beginner rider, starting to get the hang of climbing and sidehilling, done all the playing I can in the meadows area and would like to get up on the alpine as snow is getting pretty tracked up, and it is supposed to be clear and sunny, so good time to see the area. Anyone going out who isn't an expert boondocker and won't mind showing me around? Goal is to eventually hook up with people for skiing, but sledding is fun too :)

Looking to see how conditions are. Me and 3 buddies ( all with 8+ years of mountain riding), are looking at our first trip down here. Wondering how snow conditions are, and where a guy should sled and stay. Thanks

Was up chocolate yesterday, Brandywine today. There is still plenty of play areas with good snow up on the ice cap from chocolate, 1-2 feet of snow on a solid base so no epic powder, but nice riding. Still lots of holes including some just off the beaten trail, so be cautious of stuff you can't see coming, we ran into a group digging a sled out of a 10 foot deep crevasse. Had a great day in the sun.

It got some pretty heavy snow up Whistler. Check out the Whistler web cam and the BTSC webcam. Looks like it is snow up high. Avy hazard is rated as going to be considerable but with the new snow I would say high
