so not to sound to pi$$ed off,i bought new summit x ,picked up from dealer, sales guy i knew.loaded it on truck and took to buddies house to tear down for some powder coat.got powder coated pieces back ,assembled and went to load on truck-run like crap,ok i had it hung at a pretty mean incline for awhile the fuel guage read fullso it might be loaded up. .went to start it on truck next day -WONT START. ok i didnt get guage cluster plugged in right? so i go to take hood off to take screws out -THE FLIPPIN HOOD BREAKS IN MY HANDS. OK i got ...........1 of a mile on it ,so i remember fuel guage said full,so i piss around for like an hour checking plugs ,fuses etc.so i think to myself -self put fuel in . i do and it fires up .i only put 20 literes in .so i phone dealer,no problem we will do whatever it takes to get you riding .i think -self ,this is good.i take there and guage is hooped.so i say what about my hood ,we got to get approval and it only takes a few min's .that was 2 days ago.

so what are my option's ? they keep telling me they are waiting on brp approval ,it is the orange color . i told sales guy it feels brittle,he says u got 2 yrs of bumper to bumper warranty,i say good.-he dosent work there anymore. NICE .I WANT TO GO RIDING !!!!!!

I feel for ya...really i do...but...Knowing a sales guy means nothing except an easy sale for him. he has no pull there...especially in service.

Breakdowns happen whether it is 1 mile or 2000 miles. At the end of the day the machine is hand built and we all know...people arnt perfect.:(

As far as the hood goes, I cant see BRP covering it under warranty but a good dealer should eat the cost of that one... my 2 cents:beer:

I hope it all turns out ok. Curious...where di d you buy it?

I dont know any dealer that ever fills a sled for delivery. As for the hood you didnt explain what you were doing to remove it. Gently or frustrated? Warm or -40? So many questions. Bombi took a week to get back to me about my seat. Dealer fixed it first. You need to calm down and talk to your dealer about your hood. Tell them how it broke what you were doing to break it. My hood just slips right off no issues warm or cold. But I dont overstretch it out also just enough to free up the retainers.
Hope all turns out OK

Geez, don't tell me that you gotta be careful with a sled when it gets cold!! Friggin hood of mine has to be held on with velcro, it's like the thing is flattening out, and it spent the summer with a bunjy holding it in a gentle curve, to no avail.

my hood was the first thing i went to take off when it wouldnt start,i had the guage cluster off and tht i didnt plug one of the plugs in all the way,it was -20,it is a "snow"mobile ,which in my opinion means ,ride when there is snow out which means cold enough to freeze.the burnt orange plastics are harder than the other colored ones, like the camo quads.baked on and brittle.in saying that they should be able to be taken off .and i am a little po'd at the lack of stand behind the product we sell and fight for warranty ,in alberta we havent had true service since i can remember, any dealer that stands behind there product would be the most succesful one out there, not because of the money driven economy, anyways not to pick on you sledder glen ,i am a mechanic by trade, all be it a hd one and no i didnt take a sledge to it lol, i thank you an d i hope it turns out to ,or i will be forced to ride the 600 polaris and buy them a window
