not all dogs are good swimmers

Our 16 year old sheltie/haler, luvs water and like Teeroy's dog, will laydown in anything that has water in it, but hates having a bath.....

my dogs love the water! had a blast with them last sept. when they were shutting down an outdoor pool they had a dog day! what a hoot that was! swimming with the dogs! The lady has a vids or it on her phone I should see if I can load it

My Shiba's won't go in much more water than just over their knee's.

My Lab is water insane, can't keep her out of it. Loves playing with the hose too, any running water she attacks and bites at like an idiot, even creeks and streams.

The first time we took her though she just walked into the lake until she sank and her head went under. Thankfully she learned how to swim and didn't scare herself too badly.

Our 16 year old Sheltie/Healer swimming in our dugout, has some days that stairs give her a hard time, but will still go for a swim.

Our daughters Bule Merle Sheltie/cross is another crazy swimmer, she bites at the water while she's swimming, I had trouble getting her to come out of the dugout, she just swam a around in circles for 40 min.
